After completing my graduation in computer science BSC from St.Thomas college, I had a basic understanding of programming but lacked real-world experience and practical application of those concepts. Although I was interested in software development, I didn’t feel confident enough during college to build complete projects or solve problems efficiently. After college, I realized the importance of improving my technical skills to build a career in the IT field. That’s when I decided to join Brototype, a place where I could fully focus on learning by doing. At Brototype, I started from the basics and gradually strengthened my foundation. I built frontend projects using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript, including clones of websites like Swiggy and Ola. I then moved on to backend development using Python and Django, where I created complete web applications with features like user authentication, admin dashboards, and CRUD operations. I also worked with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, learning to write efficient queries and connect them with Django ORM. Later, I explored FastAPI and implemented RESTful APIs using clean architecture. Alongside technical learning, I practiced data structures and algorithms on platforms like LeetCode to improve my problem-solving skills. I also actively worked on improving my communication and typing skills, participated in group discussions, and served as a communication coordinator to help others grow with me. One of my major projects was a multi-vendor e-commerce application, and I also developed an appointment booking system using FastAPI. Overall, my journey from college to Brototype has transformed me into a more skilled, confident, and goal-oriented software developer.
