As you know, section 4 is a monologue of an academic lecture that is very much structured (introduction, main points, examples). Therefore, notice when the speaker moves from one main idea to the next, which will help to keep your place in the audio. Don't try to understand everything. Instead, focus on listening for answers only. Most importantly, check the instruction given above the question for the word limit, which students usually forget while answering. You can also predict specific answers while listening. Listen out for paraphrases or synonymical words. Academic lectures contain academic vocabularies, which you can practice by listening to academic documentaries on youtube.
Remember, for this type of question type; the answers will come in order. It is imperative to underline the keywords (noun, verb, adjective, time, year etc.) before and after the blank, which can help you keep track of the answers while listening. This method allowed me to attain nine bands in Listening in my IELTS examination. I hope this helps you too.
