I hope this email finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to convey my sincere interest in teaching pharmacology to pharmacy student. Having recently completed my master's degree in Pharmacologyand Toxicology at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, I am equipped with a robust foundation in Janus Kinase (JAK)-Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription (STAT) Inhibitors for the Treatment and Management of Cancer. My master’s thesis, titled " "Bioassay-Guided Purification of Potent Compounds from Medicinal Plants of the North-East Himalayan Region of India and Their Antimalarial Properties" under the guidance of Dr. VGM Naid, Associate Professor, NIPER-Guwahati," delved into This captivating project involved a meticulous evaluation of the antiplasmodial and antimalarial potential of various plant extracts sourced from the North-East Himalayan region. I employed both cold maceration and Soxhlet methods for plant material extraction. The research encompassed in vitro antiplasmodial assessments using a cutting-edge fluorescence-based SYBR-Green I assay, which evaluated effectiveness against a range of drug-sensitive and drug-resistant Plasmodium falciparum strains. Additionally, I conducted in vitro cytotoxicity analysis through the MTT assay and conducted comprehensive profiling of secondary metabolites using advanced GC-MS techniques]. Under the guidance of [ Dr. VGM Naid, Associate Professor, NIPER-Guwahati, I was able to make significant contributions in this domain, I have a published review titled "On Janus Kinase (JAK)-Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription (STAT) Inhibitors for the Treatment and Management of Cancer: A Review," which was published in 2023 with an Impact Factor of 3.567.
My fervor to further explore this field is rooted in both personal and academic experiences. These experiences have provided invaluable real-world insights, significantly influencing the direction of my research interests.
At NIPER, I aspire to channel my focus towards Pharmacology, building upon the foundations laid during my master’s research.
Beyond academia, I have cultivated skills that I believe will significantly contribute to my Ph.D. journey. I bring a solid track record of 1.5 years as a Research Associate at Vimta Labs Limited's Preclinical Department, The program equipped me with strong pedagogical skills and a deep appreciation for academic mentorship. Additionally, being part of NIPER has allowed me to refine my teamwork and leadership capabilities.
