Teaching Experience in detail in Vocal Music classes

I am a certified Hindustani classical vocalist with an M.A., B.Ed., and Sangeet Visharad. I come from a family deeply rooted in music; my father, Shri Borde Sir, has been my Guru since childhood. Growing up in a musical environment, I was naturally drawn to singing and started performing and learning in a traditional setting from a very young age. This early exposure not only shaped my skills but also inspired me to teach others and share the richness of Hindustani classical music. I have been teaching for many years, both offline and online, and have guided students of different age groups and skill levels. My teaching methodology emphasises a holistic approach, combining voice training, raga practice, Alankar exercises, and performance techniques. I ensure that each student receives personalised attention, allowing them to progress at their own pace while building confidence and a strong foundation in classical music. My professional experience includes performing in thousands of live shows across Maharashtra and other parts of India, as well as recording on cassettes and CDs. These experiences have helped me understand stage performance, audience interaction, and the nuances of vocal presentation, which I integrate into my teaching. I am an active teacher at my father’s institute, Nadbrahma Sangeet Vidyalaya, where I train students in both beginner and advanced levels. I am also certified by Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, ensuring formal teaching standards. Additionally, I have served as a Music Teacher at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) School, Mumbai, gaining valuable experience in structured classroom teaching and online learning. Currently, I conduct online classes for students interested in Hindustani classical music, helping them develop both technical skills and artistic expression. My lessons focus on building vocal strength, understanding ragas, improving pitch, and performance readiness. With a combination of structured exercises, practical singing practice, and encouragement, I aim to cultivate not only musical talent but also a lifelong appreciation for music. With the guidance of my Guru and years of teaching experience, I am committed to providing high-quality music education that is both engaging and effective. My students leave my classes not only with improved singing abilities but also with confidence, discipline, and a deep love for Hindustani classical music.
