I decided on going into education back in my sophomore year in high school. I got to have the awesome experience of tutoring fifth graders and it was one of the best experiences of my life. My favorite activity that defines who I am, is tutoring. Having the ability to make a difference in the lives of others while building my self confidence and people skills is a rewarding experience. This will be my third year in the Study Buddy program where I tutor elementary school students for free. Noticing a demand at my school for chemistry/math tutors, I moved into the realm of paid tutoring. The money is great, but the biggest payoff is seeing the students I help blossom into their full potential. Tutoring has become a great way to make friends; all my clients love me! I try to put my heart and soul into my students. Embarking on my business in 11th grade inspired me to be more independent.
