Learn Positional Trading from Real Market Experience — Not Just Theory

I have been actively involved in the Indian financial markets since 2017, with experience across Currency Trading, Futures & Options (F&O), and Equity Swing/Positional Trading.

Over the years, I experimented with different styles of trading and found equity swing and positional trading to be the most suitable approach for creating wealth while managing risk and maintaining a professional career or business.

My own trading journey has taught me an important lesson: being profitable is not the only objective — the time, stress, capital requirement, brokerage and taxation involved also matter.

For example, 2023 was one of my best years in trading, when I generated more than 50% return on my overall capital. I subsequently explored F&O trading with confidence and was profitable during FY 2025–26, making approximately ₹5.34 lakh. However, my brokerage alone was around ₹1.30 lakh. This experience made me seriously question whether high-frequency F&O trading is really the most efficient approach for someone who also has a professional career or business.

That is why my teaching focuses primarily on Equity Positional Trading — an approach where we look for high-quality stocks, enter at technically favourable points, and aim to participate in larger trends while allowing sufficient time for the trade to develop.

• Entry & Exit Rules — knowing not only when to enter a stock, but more importantly, when to exit.

• Risk Management — protecting your capital so that an individual stop-loss does not significantly damage your portfolio.

• Trailing & Holding Strategies — learning how to stay invested when a stock develops into a larger trend instead of exiting too early.

• Multibagger-Style Holding — understanding how to manage a winning position and participate in a potentially large move while systematically protecting capital.

• Stock Selection — learning how to focus your capital on stocks demonstrating genuine strength, including stocks making or approaching new highs.

My Approach

I don’t believe trading should be about predicting every market move.

Instead, I believe in developing a repeatable system based on Price Action, Market Structure, Risk Management, Discipline and Patience.

The objective is not to take dozens of trades every month. The objective is to identify high-quality opportunities, manage risk intelligently, and allow strong stocks enough time to deliver meaningful moves.

My positional trades may be held for 4–5 months or longer, depending on the trend and the behaviour of the stock. Historically, many of my positional trades have generated 30–40% or more, but returns are never guaranteed and the focus of my teaching is on the process, not promises.
