Are there different courses for gold jewellery designing and imitation jewellery designing?

Unfortunately no. Imitation jewellery design is a vastly ignored field in our country. The industry needs to set aside resources and an inclination to create a suitable skill development course, else it will be fraught with even lesser skilled manpower in future. Most people in the field I am aware of have had on the job training or got into it through other skills. In my opinion the industry itself needs to organize itself else it will loose out to china in the long run. (Its already happening) read less
