Teaching Experience in detail in Hindi Language Classes
Teaching Hindi has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my journey as an educator. In Jharkhand, I had the opportunity to work closely with Santhali and Bengali-speaking children, many of whom came from homes where Hindi wasn’t the first language. This meant I had to go beyond traditional methods—adapting bilingual, culturally sensitive strategies that helped bridge the language gap. Using familiar references, interactive activities, and visual aids, I focused on building their vocabulary, sentence formation, and confidence in speaking Hindi. Watching them gradually express themselves in a new language was incredibly fulfilling. Alongside this, I also worked with underprivileged students through an NGO, where Hindi was often a second or even third language. Here, my role went beyond teaching—it was about building trust and encouraging expression. I introduced basic to intermediate Hindi through simple grammar exercises, reading comprehension, creative writing, and conversational practice. My approach was always interactive, encouraging students to engage with the language in a way that felt natural and empowering. The aim was not only to make them proficient in Hindi but to help them see it as a tool for self-expression and growth. My passion for the Hindi language also extends into my editorial work. As the Editor-in-Chief of Grihaswamini International Magazine and Managing Editor of Vatayanam UK, I stay deeply connected to both classical and contemporary Hindi literature. This constant engagement with language at a literary level adds richness and authenticity to my teaching, allowing me to bring real-world context and depth into the classroom.
