The term biology comes from two Greek words "Bios" which means 'life' and "logos" means 'study'. Hence biology can be defined as the study of life. Biology has many different disciplines. If we talk about biological sciences in India we can say that India has become an international player in this subject because of the introduction of biotechnology to its portfolio. Like any other country India has been doing well in its economic growth. India's recent economic survey reveals that India has a rapid increase in growth and likely to become third largest in the world.
