I am Dr. Ratnesh Kumari Thakur, a Plant Physiologist with expertise in plant physiology, stress physiology, organic horticulture, hydroponics, and plant biochemistry. I completed my B.Sc. (Medical) from Panjab University, Chandigarh, followed by my M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Botany (Plant Physiology) from Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. My postgraduate and doctoral research focused on heat tolerance in bell pepper and nutrient management in hydroponically grown leafy vegetables, respectively. I have over three and a half years of teaching and research experience as an Assistant Professor at Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar, and ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh. My research interests include sustainable agriculture, hydroponics, nutrient management, climate-resilient crop production, biofortification, soil health, and precision farming. I have published several research papers in SCIE- and Scopus-indexed journals, authored multiple book chapters, and hold a published patent on eco-friendly bioplastic. I am an ARS-NET qualified scientist in Plant Physiology and have received several academic honors, including the Shri Puran Anand Adlakha Gold Medal, University Merit Fellowships during my M.Sc. and Ph.D., and multiple merit awards for academic excellence. I also serve as a reviewer for international journals and actively participate in national and international conferences, faculty development programs, workshops, and scientific outreach activities, demonstrating my commitment to advancing research, innovation, and sustainable agricultural development.
