AFCAT Exam Pattern: Indian Air Force (IAF) will carry out AFCAT and EKT in a computer-based mode. The questions will be displayed in a random sequence on the computer screen.
- Syllabus will be based on graduation level (Indian University).
- The examination is scheduled for either February 16 or February 17.
- Interested candidates can apply online at afcat.cdac.in before December 30.
AFCAT is an entrance test for the aspirants who want to join Indian Air Force as Commissioned Officer in Flying, Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-Technical). Indian citizens, having minimum 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics each in 10+2 are eligible to register for the Air Force examination.

- The question paper will be available in English language only.
- Duration of the exam will be of 2 hours (120 minutes).
- The total number of questions asked in the exam will be 100.
- Correct answer: +3 marks and Incorrect answer: â?? 1 mark.
- No marks will be deducted for un-attempted questions.
AFCAT 2019 Exam Schedule
Candidates are required to appear for the Online AFCAT and EKT in person. Under no circumstance will any scribe or another candidate be allowed to appear/ assist in the exam. Follow the table to know the schedule for both of the papers:
Note: Candidates will not be permitted to enter the exam centre, under any circumstance, after the pre-exam verification process has commenced at 08:00 hrs for shift-I and 1230 hrs for shift 2.

About EKT Exam Pattern:
- EKT or Engineering Knowledge Test is a meant to test candidateâ??s engineering knowledge.
- The test is compulsory for candidates applying for Technical Ground Duty branch.
