Do not sing the notes beyond your range forcefully. Keep practicing the notes in your range. If you want to go higher/lower, then practice the next note smoothly and comeback to nearest stable note like Saa or Paa

You can try focusing on lyrics. Learn by actively listening to different singers you want to follow. You'll see they use different techniques to express like modulating the voice, experimenting the dynamics etc. It takes time but eventually you can.

First write down the sequence of notes used in the composition. Then find the harmonising note for each note. There happens to be more than one harmonize note. Choose according to your taste. Practice the new sequence of notes as a melody and there you go!

Two things are there. Firstly you got to have the ability to recognise the notations of the song. Then you have to understand the concept of Harmony. Which notes can harmonize a note you're focusing on.
