Monalisha Banerjee

I am a vocal music teacher with over 15 years of experience, specializing in Hindustani classical, bhajans, folk music, Bollywood, and Western vocals. In addition to vocal training, I teach piano and also offer Hindi language instruction for students of all levels. My sessions are inclusive, enjoyable, and tailored to suit both beginners and advanced learners across age groups.

I hold dual Master’s degrees—one in Indian Classical Music and the other in Hindi—as well as a B.Ed. degree, which supports my educational methodology. I’ve completed Sangeet Prabhakar and Sangeet Praveen from Prayag Sangeet Samiti and hold a postgraduate music qualification from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya. These achievements reflect the depth of my classical training and my commitment to excellence in music education.

Over the years, I have taught a diverse set of students across India and abroad, both in music and in Hindi. My training approach emphasizes vocal control, pitch accuracy, rhythm, and emotional expression. In language teaching, I focus on speaking, reading, and writing proficiency with equal importance. I strive to make learning interactive, joyful, and meaningful.

I conduct online classes in both individual and group formats, depending on the student's goals and level. Whether it's preparing for music exams, mastering a favorite song, or simply learning as a hobby, I provide structured, goal-based lesson plans. I teach children, teens, and adults, adapting lesson duration and content accordingly.

One of the strengths of my classes is the emphasis on certification and exam preparation. Students who commit to at least one year of training are prepared for both practical and theoretical music exams. Upon successful completion, I provide certification to mark their progress, which can be a valuable addition to their musical journey.

Technology plays a key role in my classes. I use PPTs, whiteboards, and interactive teaching materials to keep sessions dynamic and effective. Alongside vocal exercises and notations, I also provide curated notes to help students continue their practice between sessions. I believe learning music or language should be a soulful and structured experience, and I am passionate about delivering that to each learner.

Through a combination of classical discipline, creative engagement, and a deep love for teaching, I aim to help every student unlock their potential—whether in music, Hindi, or both.
