Dr Anchal Mishra

With over 17 years of rich and diverse professional experience spanning academia, human resource management, training and development, and organizational consulting, I bring a rare combination of classroom depth and real-world application to every training engagement.

I am currently serving as Assistant Professor at Xavier Institute of Development Action and Studies (XIDAS), Jabalpur — a premier Jesuit institution known for its commitment to excellence in management and rural development education. In this role, I have designed and delivered courses, workshops, and training programmes for postgraduate management students, equipping them with the professional communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness, and behavioural competencies that the corporate and development sectors demand.

My core expertise in Human Resource Management has given me a thorough grounding in the science and practice of workplace communication — from structured business writing and formal presentation skills to conflict resolution, interview readiness, and cross-functional team communication. I have worked extensively with students, young professionals, and organizational teams to identify communication gaps and bridge them through structured, practical, and engaging training interventions.

As Family and Career Counsellor at XIDAS, I have supported hundreds of individuals in articulating their thoughts clearly, building confidence in spoken and written expression, and navigating professional conversations with poise and purpose. This counselling experience brings a distinctly human and empathetic dimension to my training style — I understand that communication is not merely a skill, it is a reflection of one's confidence, clarity, and character.

I hold a PhD in Rural Studies and Population Education from Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya (RDVV), Jabalpur, and I am the Vice-President of the Jesuit Alumni Association of India (JAAI) Governing Council (2026–2029) — a testament to the trust that peers and institutions place in my leadership and communication abilities.

As a Communication Skills trainer on UrbanPro, I offer structured, outcome-oriented sessions tailored to learners at every stage — students preparing for campus placements, working professionals seeking to advance their careers, and individuals who simply wish to express themselves with greater confidence and clarity. My sessions are grounded in theory, driven by practice, and delivered with the patience and professionalism that 17 years of teaching and training have shaped in me.
