IdentityI am Giovanni Minuto italian from Rome. I teach italian since many years in Italy and Cameroon. I have been teaching in some refugees centers in central Italy. In the different schools where I teach I am managing the daily programs, the level tests, the new teachers and the general organisation of duties and timetable. I have good knowledge of learning theories regarding foreign languages.
The way of teaching I want to introduce is focusing on the student as a person who needs help to develop by him/herself. My teaching method is based on the communicative method, which is the one who gives the best results and also the active involvement of the students with an interaction among them.
When I was in Cameroon for nearly two years I managed two schools. I had to start from zero because in the private lyceum they had old fashion way of lerning which is common for many african countries, my students were happy to see me because I made them play and relax for a while forgetting their fear of the stick wich is usually adopted in many schools to make students respectfull of the teaching staff.
I know I am not young even if my age is just a registry and I am full of energy and I want to share the best of myself. My students often turn to me for problems that go beyond the teaching activities because they know they find in me an attentive listener who knows their living conditions in their countries.
I teach to all levels of learners from zero to advanced.
