I see there is tremendous growth and opportunities in the CLOUD. IBM is spending lot of money and resources and is forefront in Cloud -SAAS,PAAS.. I would look into Apps development, Security, Databases ,BI, Big Data in the cloud.

Hi Naga, Business Intelligence and Datawarehousing is an excellent domain to ride your career on. DataStage is an ETL tool which helps you extract, transforma and load data into the Warehouse. OBIEE is a dashboard and reporting tool that helps you build interactive reports on the data loaded in warehouse. My suggestion would be to enter into this domain via learning Datawraehousing Fundamentals and Reporting tool (like OBIEE11g). This would be easier and quick compared to learning the ETL process . Gradulally you are expected to learn end to end implementation i.e both the ETL and the Reporting stuff, but for making an Entry, you can choose to go via learning reporting tool first. read less

And another thing is no automation is required to learn loadrunner...Almost 20 students got a job and well settled who learned LR through me in online. Once student finishes the training, the student will stand at a position where a 5 years real time experienced guy is having the same knowledge. This is 100% my assurance. Hi Naga, So Many mainframe projects are being migrated to Ab Initio ETL tool also and In my experience I saw many mainframe developers got trained in Ab Initio and got more on-site opportunities as well. If you are interested in ETL tools, you can go with Ab Initio.
