Hey, I guess you should go for the instrument in which you have deep interest in. If its tabla, go for it. Either way you have to practice and learn if you want to master it, irrespective of any instrument. Cheers.

My son is 2 year old and he is very interested in playing Tabla. He sits through concerts keenly. Also he follows videos and try to play something similar. Is there any teacher who take classes for such young kids?
Its great that he is a good listener at this age...I would recommend, he should continue doing so for another 4 yrs..And then start formal learning..
