I am Dr. Hitanshu Kumar working as a Physics faculty [Associate Professor, (Campus Director)] at Modern Group of Colleges, Punjab, India, Asia. I have completed my Ph.D. in Physics and Materials Science in 2016 from Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India, Asia. The topic of the Ph.D. thesis is “Development of II-VI and IV-VI group quantum dots and their core/shell structures”.
After that, I joined a Postdoctoral position at Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China (research work station, Tsinghua University Graduate School at Shenzhen).
I have worked on the development of 2-Dimensional materials (NbS2 and MoS2) for the electrocatalysis/ photo-electro-catalysis applications in a postdoctoral position ( 2018-2020). I have experience in the development and structural/ surface modification of 2-dimensional TMDs (Energy conversion & storage materials) materials (NbS2 and MoS2) and Metal Oxide /LDH for OER for electrocatalysis/ photo-electro-catalysis (Hydrogen Evolution Reaction) applications.
I have 11 years experience of teaching/research in colleges and universities as an Assistant/Associate Professor.
I have good experience in the synthesis of 2D materials by CVD methods and Metal oxides by the Imprigation method along with characterization and analysis with the help of XRD, SEM, EDX, HRTEM, RAMAN, In-situ Raman, In situ UV, PL, FTIR, and XPS, Image J, VESTA, EC Lab, tool. Based on my last positioned postdoctoral research work, I already published three good papers during this post-doc time.
Along with this, I have good knowledge about the synthesis and characterizations of Semiconductor Quantum Dots (CdS, ZnS, and their core-shell structures) for photovoltaic devices (Research work is done in my Ph.D.). I am a highly motivated, skilled candidate with a strong background in the synthesis and characterization of 2D nanomaterials and heterostructures. I have other good skills including experience with the supervision of undergraduate and graduate student researchers, strong oral and written communication skills, and a willingness to work with a wide range of team research projects.
I have 10 years of teaching tuition experience for the 9th - 12th andEngineering standards students in science subjects (Physics and chemistry).
