Now students has to fill one only form for all banks . If you write a IBPS exam , you can get a post of Clerk, Assistant manager or Specialist officer in the reputed Government banks. and for SBI we need to fill the form separately. So if you cleared IBPS exams you can enter banks as Clerk or PO(Probationary Officer) or Specialist Officer. Now the future in Banking sector is purely depends on you how you want to proceeds in the Banks. If you enter as a clerk you will get home state posting near home and you will become Assistant Manger in minimum 2-3 years . Present Salary for a clerk is 23000-25000 . If you enter as a PO in bank then you will get posted in anywhere of India and after 3-4 years you will become Scale 2 manager or accountant. Entry Salary for PO is 36000-39000.
