IdentityI have been working as a Cognos Analytics and Cognos BI v10.2 administrator at Infosys, Hyderabad and previously at IBM, Noida.
My Roles and Responsibilities include:
1.Procuring storage, databases, operating systems, Cognos binaries from IBM, install and configure Cognos, installing libraries at the operating system level, creation of FIDs on the DEV, UAT, PROD and DR servers in standalone and Distributed Installation.
2. Configuring cognos security, authentication namespace, LDAP, cognos environment variables, creating audit, content store and notification stores.
3. Install and configure IHS, Web server and Siteminder server.
4. Security setup on Cognos connection Administration console, report migrations and content migrations from low level cognos to production environments.
5. Automating manual tasks using unix shell scripts.
6. Content store migrations from Cognos 10.1 to 10.2 and from 10.2 to 11.x versions.
7. Migrated cognos from Rhel 6.x to Rhel 7 operating system.
8. Troubleshooting all cognos DEV, UAT and production related issues.
9. Working 24x7 in the shifts and leading the shift related activities.
10. Weekend environment maintenance activities.
11. Mentoring L1 and L2 team members.
