I am Venkata Tilak Uppalapati,completed my pre-PhD in structural engineering in VIT,Chennai and is about to complete Ph.D. I completed maters in structural engineering from the esteemed University of Sheffield, which is far better in International ranking than IIT's an IISc Bangalaore. I have over 13 years of experience working as assistant and associate professor in structural engineering and experience as a Structural Engineering Consultant and as a structural research engineer too. Moreover, I have good experience as a Structural designer and 13+ years experience in teaching IES and GATE exams too for GATE FORUM and IES-GATE Academy. In addition to this, I published seven international journals in different reputed publications and has experience in teaching to post-graduate students also. Furthermore, I supervised graduate dissertations and have experience working as structural consultant for over 11 years (Design of structures, concrete mix design, testing on material etc).

I have a penchant for success and I am excellent at building value through expertise in various research areas in structural engineering. My areas of interest include but not limiting to Alkali Activation of pozzolanic materials, Improving ductility of concrete by alternative cementitious materials, Repair and Strengthening/ Retrofitting of Civilian Structures, Bridge Engineering and High performance materials, Alternative Sustainable Materials for construction of Civilian structures, Prestressed Concrete Analysis and Design, Structural Prognostics and Structural health Monitoring
