Yes, it is mandatory. I would suggest you bring in some colour and good communication with the students. It will boost their confidence in you and what you are teaching. The visual representation can make the students grasp the subject more accessible. Try creating a few PPEs or engage in quiz sessions.

It would help if you started preparing whenever you get your free time. Remember, CAT requires smart work more than hard work. Roughly, you should be able to contribute 100-200hrs to prepare. I would suggest you train every day along with your work. Consistency is the key to ace these competitive exams. Plus, do not refrain from good social life and group discussions, as it can boost your chances more for the GD and PI.
