I am a parent of a 15 yr old with Autism, he was/is my first student (from the age of 3 after his diagnosis). Left my dental practice to work full time with my son who was non-verbal at the time. Now I am a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (Florida Institute of Technology) and a licensed ABA Therapist (Behavior Analysts Certification Board). I have worked since 2018 in Hyderabad and in the UK. I am the ABA advisor at a special school in Hyderabad. I work one-on-one with the children in the presence of parents. I have experience in doing basic learning and language skills assessment , in helping children communicate using words, Signs, PECS and AAC device. I use play and ABA techniques to teach skills (new behaviors, daily living skills, academics ) by assessing each child's strengths and needs. I adapt my teaching methods to accommodate individual learning preferences As a parent I understand the emotional and daily practical struggles of parents like me, work in collaboration with them, prioritize their needs and the child's needs. I believe in training the parent too, so they can better connect with their child, become independent in supporting and teaching their child.
