My inspiration of teaching students comes from my mother as well as my mother-in-law who are teachers themselves and I believe that there are a lot of great feelings associated with being a teacher. It can be like little things, like a 'Thank You' from your student or their parents. But one of the most rewarding things about being a teacher is, making a difference, especially to those students who are not as willing learners. It's helping them see that they can do well, and they end up doing well. It's when you kind of see the effect that you have on your students.
