I teach Japanese on UrbanPro and focus on helping students develop practical language skills that they can use confidently in everyday situations. I am a retired software professional with around 5 years of experience working as a Japanese bilingual software engineer at HCL Technologies from 2001 to 2005. My professional experience gave me valuable exposure to the Japanese language as well as Japanese clients, teams, and work environments.

I completed my Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) from Utkal University in 2000. I have also qualified JLPT N3 (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test), demonstrating my proficiency in Japanese. In addition, I completed a course at OCAC in 1999. My combination of technical education, Japanese language proficiency, and professional experience allows me to bring a practical perspective to language learning.

Although I do not have prior formal teaching experience, I am now beginning my teaching journey after retirement with a genuine interest in sharing and strengthening my Japanese language skills. My professional background has given me the opportunity to use Japanese in a practical technology environment, and I would like to help students understand the language beyond textbooks by connecting lessons with real-life communication and situations.

My teaching approach is structured, interactive, and based on the student's current level and learning goals. I first try to understand what the learner wants to achieve and then plan lessons accordingly. I focus on making concepts easy to understand and encourage students to actively participate, practise, and gradually become more comfortable using Japanese.

My classes cover important areas such as Japanese vocabulary, grammar, conversation, pronunciation, and practical communication. I use real-life examples to help students understand how words, phrases, and sentence structures are used in everyday situations. I believe that regular practice and active participation are important for developing confidence, so I encourage students to use what they learn during our sessions.

I conduct both online and offline classes and use PPT presentations and a whiteboard to make lessons more organised and engaging. I can use these tools to explain grammar structures, introduce vocabulary, practise sentence formation, and break down concepts step by step. I also encourage students to ask questions and discuss areas where they need additional clarification.

My goal is to make Japanese learning practical, structured, and approachable for students at different levels.
