I am a Hindustani Vocal Music learner and teacher with 1 year of teaching experience. I am currently pursuing my 3rd year in Hindustani Vocal Music at Annamacharya Government Music College, Mehdipatnam. My journey in music has helped me develop a strong foundation in Hindustani classical vocal music, including vocal techniques, swaras, ragas, taals, alankars, bhajans, and bandishes. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of music with students and helping them develop their voice, musical understanding, and confidence.

My academic training has given me an opportunity to study Hindustani Vocal Music in a structured manner, with attention to both theory and practical practice. Through my studies, I have worked on understanding the fundamentals of Hindustani music and applying them through regular singing practice. I believe that a strong foundation is important for every student, so I focus on helping learners understand the basics clearly before gradually moving towards more advanced concepts.

In my classes, I begin with fundamental vocal exercises and gradually introduce swaras and alankars according to the student's current level. These exercises help students become familiar with pitch, develop better control over their voice, and build a regular practice habit. As the student progresses, I introduce concepts such as ragas, taals, bhajans, and bandishes in a structured manner. I make sure that students get sufficient practice at every stage before moving forward.

My teaching methodology is practical, interactive, and adapted to each student's learning pace. I understand that every student may have a different level of musical knowledge and vocal ability, so I adjust my lessons accordingly. I focus on correct sur and taal and encourage students to listen carefully and practise consistently. I also use practical demonstrations during classes so that students can understand the correct approach by hearing and practising the concepts themselves.

Along with technical training, I also focus on helping students become more comfortable and confident while singing. I encourage students to actively participate during the class, practise the exercises regularly, and ask questions whenever they have doubts. I believe that consistent practice plays an important role in developing vocal skills, and I guide students on how to approach their practice in a gradual and disciplined manner.

I have also participated in various cultural programmes, which has given me practical experience in performing vocal music in front of an audience. These experiences have helped me improve my confidence and understand the importance of presentation, preparation, and regular practice. I try to bring this practical perspective into my teaching so that students can develop not only their musical knowledge but also greater confidence in expressing themselves through singing.

I conduct my Hindustani Vocal Music classes online and aim to create a comfortable and focused environment for students to learn and practise. Whether a student is beginning their musical journey or already has some understanding of Hindustani music, I structure my sessions according to their level and goals. My aim is to help students develop a strong foundation in Hindustani Vocal Music, improve their sur and taal, understand the basics of ragas and other musical forms, and gradually become more confident and expressive singers.
