Teaching Experience in detail in Embroidery Classes
My teaching experience in embroidery is rooted in my background in traditional textiles, which I taught at GGGI, Ambala (affiliated with Kurukshetra University). As part of this course, embroidery naturally featured as one of the key craft techniques — since embroidery is deeply tied to heritage textile traditions, regional design motifs, and hand-worked embellishment methods that form an important part of understanding traditional and cultural fabric work. Within this context, I helped students appreciate embroidery not just as a decorative technique, but as a craft connected to fabric structure, material choice, and design history — encouraging them to see how embroidery techniques have evolved and continue to influence contemporary fashion and textile design. My approach draws on the same principles I apply across my teaching: building concept clarity first (understanding stitch types, motifs, and their cultural/textile context), then connecting that knowledge to practical, creative application.

Teaching Experience in detail in Fashion Classes
Teaching Experience in Fashion Over the course of my academic career, I have taught fashion-related subjects at three reputed institutions — Aligarh Muslim University, MANUU Hyderabad, and GGGI Ambala (affiliated with Kurukshetra University). At these institutions, my teaching responsibilities included Fashion Design, where I guided students through design fundamentals, garment construction principles, and the creative process of translating concepts into wearable designs. I also taught Traditional Textiles, helping students understand how heritage fabrics, weaves, and cultural design elements continue to inform and inspire contemporary fashion. My approach to teaching fashion emphasizes concept clarity paired with creative application — rather than treating design as purely intuitive, I help students build a strong theoretical foundation (fabric behavior, construction techniques, design principles) and then apply that foundation to hands-on, project-based work. This reflects my own academic background: my M.Sc. dissertation itself was a fashion design project — "Designing of Burqa using Linen Fabric along with Animal Print" — which combined textile science with garment design and consumer-facing fashion thinking. I also bring a research-informed perspective to fashion education. My published work on sustainable and natural fibres directly feeds into how I teach fashion sustainability — helping students think critically about material choices, eco-friendly processing, and the growing role of sustainable fashion in the industry today. In the classroom, I use visual aids, design software (CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, CAD), and real garment/fabric samples to make fashion concepts tangible, encouraging students to move from sketch to prototype to finished understanding.
