IT field is such an industry where people can migrate from different domains even in there 50's, and we have a lot of examples with us.
Would you like to create something creative and outstanding applications which change the lives of people or would you want to work in a big MNC company with some good perks?
If anyone of the above two is your option, then start digging yourself in the data science field as it is the only field in IT industry which is having full integrations with a lot more languages, tools and development.
If you learn this, you can start your carrier in either of Statistical Analysis, Bigdata, Python, R, Excel, SQL, Tableau, Cloud in development as well as testing field or a combination to work as a data scientist.

Recently SBI, one of the leading banks in India, rolled out a notification for the recruitment of data analytics/data science positions very recently. Also, there will be a lot more in the future with the same and other banks too.
As the data is increasing on a daily and demand basis, in these organisations, especially in the banking sector, they are looking for the people who can handle this big data with the help of technologies like Python, R and can generate dashboards which makes management life more comfortable to take strategic decisions along with statistical inferences to predict the future.
