For teaching online, most teachers don't need any whiteboard. Also, it may depend on what subject you teach. Like if it is the theory no need of whiteboard a good ppt will do the work well. And subject like maths may need a white screen or maybe a whiteboard to teach on. Even after this, it mainly depends on the tutor and student; however, both are comfortable can choose the best way of teaching online.
