Kiranmai P.

I am Dr. Kiranmai Pandi, have an MD (Doctor of Medicine) in Community Medicine (also called Preventive and Social Medicine) at Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, India. I am a motivated doctor with strong interest in fields related to my specialty, like biostatistics, global health, maternal and child health, and climate change and disasters.
Throughout the course of my postgraduate degree, I have gained experience in research protocol, biostatistics, software analysis, program evaluation, with a special focus on maternal health. I have conducted an observational study with 300 ANC women as a part of my Thesis and used logistic regression
to identify predictors of high-risk pregnancy, for which I am currently developing a mixed-methods paper on determinants of high-risk pregnancy identification and stakeholder perspectives.
I have won many awards during my course of studies. I have guided undergraduate students to gain knowledge in research and helped them to conduct research under the PSBH (Problem Solving for Better Health) activities in my department. I have worked on a project on maternal tuberculosis screening in India in collaboration with Emory
University, USA. I have also presented this work at the international conference of CUGH 2024 in California, USA. I won the EGHI-Westerburg Photovoice Contest for Field Scholar Award Students by Emory University, Georgia, USA.
I have also collaborated with teams involving district officials, NGOs, academic institutions, and international institutions for projects related to health which provided me with experiences that improved my communication and team-building skills.
