HTML is a text markup and not a programming language.

Theoretically, web page created with HTML should be viewable by anyone with a computer, web browser, internet.

In reality, contents of web page are viewable depending on the capabilities of web browser.

What is web browser?

Web browsers are programs that interpret HTML in web page documents and display text, pictures, animations on visitors computer screen.

Browsers also play audio, video files that one uses HTML to insert in a webpage either by itself or with the help of other installed programs.

Example of web browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer can display anything you use HTML to put in the web page
