From my Point of view, Modern dance is like bollywood dance in which just play the song and you can do any type of step weather in contemporary dance you have to do it on regular basis like you have to practice on daily basis and also in contemporary dance you have to dance with full of emotions and trying to go with flow of the body.

What I mean is the teachnique used in contemporary has it's origins with the Ballet dance form.
