Answer Jatiswaram is an example of a pure dance or nritta sequence in which the performer weaves several patterns on a basic musical composition. Just like its name, it is executed to the tune of a combination of swara passages in a particular raga and tala.

Jathiswaram is usually performed in the first half of the marga . As the name says it includes a combinations of jathis and Swaras comprising intricated steps in all 3 speeds and can be danced in any of the five jaathis . usually jathiswarams are composed by the Tanjore brothers in Bharathantyam.

Jathiswaram in bharathatyam uses ony swaras with particular raga and taal. It has no lyrics, so it is not fixed, it can vary from individual artists. Usually it comes second or third in any dance performance
