Factors that may contribute to the perception of the decreasing importance of Hindi include: Globalization and English Dominance: English has become the language of international communication, business, and technology. The increasing globalization and the desire for better job prospects have led to a greater emphasis on English proficiency. This can sometimes create a perception that English holds more importance, particularly in certain urban areas and professional spheres. Regional Language Identity: India is a linguistically diverse country with numerous regional languages. Some regions strongly identify with their regional languages and prioritize their preservation and promotion. This may lead to a perception that Hindi's importance is relatively reduced in those specific regions. Language Preferences: Individual language preferences and choices can also shape the perception of the importance of Hindi. Some individuals, based on personal interests or cultural backgrounds, may prioritize learning and using languages other than Hindi, leading to a perception of reduced importance. However, it is important to note that Hindi continues to be widely spoken and holds significant cultural and historical value in India. It plays a vital role in fostering communication, preserving Indian culture, and connecting people across different regions. Hindi remains a language of political discourse, media, entertainment, and day-to-day interactions for a large portion of the population. Perceptions of language importance can evolve over time, influenced by various societal and cultural factors. While English may have gained prominence in certain domains, Hindi's role and significance continue to be a fundamental part of Indian society, literature, and cultural expressions. read less

Yes. Truly. Because by suppressing greater languages of India, it has lost its value totally. Hindi hijacked the whole linguistic identity of this great versatile generous country, and has been projected wrongly to the world, as if it is the whole single representative of versatile linguistic India. Though many greater languages exist here, Hindi people never respected and learned them. All these decades Hindi cheated the whole world and fellow Indians too, by robbing the linguistic identity of this great country. India came to know this truth, at least now. read less
