Teaching process adopted during the pandemic period
• Learnt the art of teaching in online mode using the Google / Microsoft Teams / WebEx.
• Generally, present lectures live to students in online mode (i.e., the same way in which a teacher uses to do in the classrooms). The software WIRIS is very supportive to me.

• Has a huge experience of teaching Mathematics at all levels of Education in India

• Taught Mathematics using digital resources.
• Involved in research activities for 16 years; did Ph.D. at IIT, Mumbai. Successfully guided 2 students for their doctoral programs. Research work has been published in internationally referred leading journals.
• Has managerial / administrative experience too. Served as the programme coordinator of the World Bank Funded, Government of India Assisted TEQIP – II project at Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan, Karnataka for a period of 7 years. Played a key role in the institution getting the financial grants to the tune of Rs. 12.5 Crores.
• Worked as a member and convener in academic bodies such as Board of Studies (BoS), Board of Examiner (BoE) at the university level.
• During pandemic period, taught several Engineering Mathematics courses live to students using the WIRIS software and the online platforms Google & Microsoft.
• Also, taught 3 Engineering Mathematics courses at the VTU initiated e--learning centre studio at Bangalore. Here, lectures were beamed live to students in their respective institutions through EDUSAT channel.

• Ph. D at Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai (1998)
Employment History
• Started the career of teaching in my home institution (1985 -1988) for both under graduate courses and PUC students.
• Joined Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan as a Lecturer in 1988 and grown to the designation of professor. Will be retiring on 31st March 2022.
• Deputed with sponsorship to IIT, Mumbai in 1992 to pursue doctoral programme. Completed Ph. D study in 1998.
• Promoted as Assistant Professor (1999) and Professor (2005).

Academic Responsibilities:
• Mainly teaching and Research.
• Design of curriculum, syllabus, course contents preparation, course delivery, and evaluation of performance of students
• Served as a member of Board of Studies (BoS) for the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi for a period of 3 years.
• Served as a member, Board of Examiners (BoE) for VTU. Involved in question paper setting, evaluation & moderation of answer scripts.

Administrative experiences:

• Served as Head of Mathematics Department at MCE for a period of 3 years.
• Served as a nodal officer in the TEQIP phase I project during the years 2005 to 2010.
• Served as the programme coordinator of TEQIP phase II project during the years 2010 – 2017.
Other activities:
• Worked as editor once for the biennial publication of college magazine – THANTRIKA TARANGA.
• Actively involved students of Literary club as convenor for a period of 7 years. This club uses to conduct all extracurricular, co-curricular and cultural activities in the college.
