About Organisation: Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh is the premier educational organization which is doing yeoman service for the promotion, preservation, and dissemination of Indian classical arts of music, dance and fine arts (painting) since its inception in 1956.

Subjects: Indian (Hindustani & Carnatic) Classical Music (Vocal & Instrumental), Classical Dances (e.g. Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Odissi Dance, etc.) and Fine Arts (Painting)

Courses: The Kendra awards the following certificates and diplomas to the successful candidates in the above-mentioned subjects:
1. Prarambhik- (2-year preliminary course)
2. Bhushan- (3-year course after Prarambhik)
3. Visharad- (2-year course after Bhushan) is treated as equivalent to Bachelor degree in Music.
4. Bhaskar- (2-year course after Visharad) is treated as equivalent to Post-Graduate qualification in Music.
