Poonam S.

I am a Biology teacher with more than 6 years of teaching experience, primarily working with CBSE students. I teach Biology to students of Classes 11 and 12 and focus on helping them develop a clear understanding of concepts while preparing effectively for their academic examinations. I enjoy working closely with students and supporting them throughout their learning journey.

I hold an M.Sc. in Botany, a B.Ed., and a B.Sc. (Hons.). My academic background has given me a strong foundation in Biology and Botany, while my teaching experience has helped me understand how to present complex concepts in a simple and structured way. I continuously try to make my classes more meaningful and aligned with the individual needs of my students.

I have also qualified CTET, REET, and GATE, which reflects my academic preparation and commitment to continuous learning. In addition to teaching, I have taken on leadership responsibilities and have been involved in academic and research activities. I have presented research papers at international conferences, which has further strengthened my academic and research experience.

My teaching methodology is student-centered and interactive. I begin by understanding the student's current level, academic requirements, strengths, and areas that need improvement. I then structure lessons accordingly, focusing on conceptual clarity rather than encouraging students to rely only on memorisation. I use examples and explanations that help students connect theoretical Biology concepts with practical situations.

For Classes 11 and 12, I pay particular attention to building strong fundamentals because these concepts form the foundation for higher studies as well as competitive examinations. I break complex topics into smaller, manageable sections and explain them step by step. I also encourage students to ask questions and participate actively so that I can identify areas where they may need additional support.

Regular assessment and revision are an important part of my classes. I use practice questions, discussions, and assessments to understand the student's progress and identify topics that require further attention. I also provide personalised guidance based on the student's learning pace and academic goals, helping them become more confident while preparing for examinations.

I conduct both online and offline classes and use PPT presentations and a digital whiteboard to make lessons more visual, organised, and engaging. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students can ask questions comfortably, understand Biology concepts thoroughly, and improve their academic performance through consistent practice and guidance.
