Music has been an integral part of my life for over 22 years, both as a learner and as a teacher of Hindustani classical vocal music. My journey in this field has been deeply rooted in the traditional guru-shishya parampara, while also adapting to the needs of modern learners. Teaching music is not just a profession for me; it is a lifelong commitment to preserving and passing on the depth, discipline, and beauty of Indian classical music.

I hold a Master of Arts (M.A.) and a Ph.D. in Music, which have given me strong academic grounding along with practical expertise. My academic journey has helped me understand music not only as an art form but also as a structured discipline with rich theory, history, and aesthetics. This balance of theory and practice reflects strongly in my teaching methodology.

Over the years, I have actively participated in various music competitions and cultural platforms, which has enriched my performance experience. I have also had the opportunity to serve as a judge in multiple music competitions, allowing me to develop a sharp understanding of evaluation standards, presentation skills, and performance nuances. This experience helps me guide students with clarity on what is expected in exams, stage performances, and competitive settings.

My teaching approach is structured, practical-based, and goal-oriented. I design detailed lesson plans tailored to each student’s level, focusing on voice culture, raga development, taal understanding, and improvisation techniques such as alap, taan, and bandish presentation. I strongly believe that consistent practice combined with correct guidance leads to confident and expressive singing.

I conduct both online and offline classes, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for students from different locations. My sessions are interactive and personalized, allowing students to progress at their own pace while maintaining discipline and regularity. I pay close attention to voice training and individual strengths, helping students build a strong foundation in Hindustani classical vocal music.

I also help students prepare for music examinations, auditions, and competitions with focused training and structured revision. Whether a student is a beginner seeking a strong base or an advanced learner aiming to refine performance skills, I strive to provide patient guidance, constructive feedback, and continuous motivation throughout their musical journey.
