I am Dakshita K., a Sociology and Social Science educator with over 7 years of teaching experience across middle school and senior school levels. I hold a Master’s degree from the Delhi School of Economics, which has provided me with a strong academic foundation in Sociology and a deep understanding of social theory, research, and contemporary issues. My teaching journey has been shaped by my passion for helping students understand society and develop critical thinking skills.

Over the years, I have been associated with reputed schools in Gurgaon, including Lotus Valley International School and Heritage Xperiential Learning School. In these institutions, I have taught Social Science and Sociology, mentored students, and contributed to curriculum planning and assessment design. My experience in structured school environments has helped me understand diverse learner needs and adapt my teaching strategies accordingly.

I teach Social Science for Grades 6 to 10 and Sociology for Grades 11 and 12 across CBSE, IGCSE, and Cambridge International curricula, including Cambridge AS and A Level Sociology and Global Perspectives. My exposure to multiple boards allows me to design lessons that align with specific academic requirements while ensuring conceptual clarity and strong exam preparation.

My teaching philosophy is centered around encouraging students to think critically and engage deeply with real-world issues. I believe Sociology and Social Science are not just academic subjects but tools to understand the world around us. I encourage students to question, analyse, and connect theoretical concepts with real-life situations.

My classes are interactive, discussion-based, and student-focused. I create a learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing their opinions, asking questions, and exploring different perspectives. This helps in developing both subject knowledge and communication skills, which are essential for academic success.

I also provide support for assignments, research projects, coursework, and examinations. My approach ensures that students are not only prepared for exams but also develop strong academic writing and analytical skills. I guide them step by step in structuring answers, improving presentation, and building confidence in their learning.
