Teaching Experience in detail in Class 11 Tuition
When I first started giving home tuition, I was both excited and nervous. My first student was an intermediate-level boy who was struggling with mathematics. He had developed a fear of numbers because of repeated failures in exams. On the first day, I noticed that he avoided eye contact whenever I asked him to solve a problem. Instead of rushing into formulas, I decided to build his confidence. I started with very simple examples from his daily life—calculating cricket scores, splitting chocolates, and finding discounts on shop bills. Slowly, he realized that mathematics was not as frightening as he thought. Within a few weeks, his approach changed. He began to ask questions actively and even started enjoying puzzles I gave him at the end of each class. One of the most memorable moments was when he scored 18 out of 20 in his class test after consistently failing earlier. His parents were overjoyed, but what touched me the most was his smile—full of pride and relief. Through this experience, I learned that home tuition is not just about teaching subjects; it’s about understanding the student’s mindset, removing fear, and making learning enjoyable.
