I am a dedicated student and practitioner of Hindustani Classical Music, with a strong academic and traditional foundation, and a deep commitment to teaching the art in its authentic form. I am currently in the final year of B.Com (Honours) from the University of Delhi, while simultaneously pursuing advanced classical music training from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and Prayag Sangeet Samiti, where I am presently in the fifth year of formal study. My training is oriented towards both practical performance and theoretical understanding, with a focus on long-term sadhana rather than short-term performance outcomes.

My musical journey has been shaped by a belief that Indian classical music is not merely a performance art, but a discipline of listening, reflection, and gradual refinement. As a result, my approach to teaching emphasises strong fundamentals, patience, and clarity. I specialise in introducing students to the core building blocks of Hindustani music, including swar sadhana, voice culture, basic raag structure, laya awareness, and tala understanding, while gradually nurturing musical sensitivity and confidence.

I am particularly comfortable teaching beginners and early intermediate students, including children, young adults, and adult learners who wish to study classical music seriously but without intimidation. My teaching style is calm, structured, and concept-driven. I believe that students learn best when they understand why something is sung, not just how. Therefore, along with practical training, I encourage attentive listening, simple explanation of raag aesthetics, and gradual internalization of musical grammar.
