I am a music teacher with more than 40 years of experience. I have a postgraduate degree in Hindustani classical music from Gandharva sangeet mahavidyalaya..
I primarily teach Hindustani classical music along with bhajan, Ghazal, rabindra sangeet, nqzrulgeeti and bengali and hindi light songs.

Shri shyamal das was my hindustaanee raag vocal music teacher for around a decade, when I was younger. He was very patient with us, tolerating our lack of riyaaz with much grace. He taught us very well and faithfully, inspiring in me a deep love for raag, which burns in my heart to this day. Even though I have now learned from two other teachers by now, both very famous celebrity khaandaanee musicians, most of the raags and bandishes (compositions), and all of the 'light classical' pieces I know (bhajans etc) are all thanks to him. If you get a chance to learn from him, take it! He's a gem of a person. All my best to him.
