I teach vocal music at UrbanPro and have been guiding students for the past 4 years. My journey began as a school music teacher, where I had the opportunity to work with students of various age groups and help them develop strong vocal skills, an understanding of music theory, and confidence in their performance abilities. Teaching music is not just about techniques for me—it is about instilling a deep appreciation for the beauty and depth of Indian classical music.

I hold a Master’s degree in Vocal Music and have completed both Visharad Poorna and Alankar from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, one of India’s most prestigious institutions for classical music. I am professionally trained in Hindustani classical vocal music and also have expertise in playing multiple Indian instruments. This combination of vocal and instrumental training allows me to provide students with a well-rounded and in-depth musical education, connecting theory, rhythm, and practical performance.

Over the past 4 years, I have worked with students to develop a strong foundation in raga, taal, voice culture, and improvisation. I have also performed at various cultural festivals, yagyas, and classical music gatherings, which enriches my teaching by allowing me to share practical stage experience and performance insights with my students. My approach blends traditional gurukul-style training with modern, student-friendly methods to make learning engaging and effective.

I conduct online classes, offering flexibility while maintaining a structured approach. Each session is tailored to the student’s pace and skill level, combining theory with hands-on practice. I ensure that students gain a thorough understanding of each concept while also practicing performance techniques that build confidence and stage readiness.

I also provide certification courses and examination preparation, leveraging my connections with reputed institutions to help students gain official recognition for their skills. This structured guidance ensures that students not only learn music but also achieve measurable milestones in their musical journey.

My teaching philosophy centers on nurturing both technical skill and emotional connection to music. I aim to help students experience the joy, depth, and expressive power of Indian classical music, enabling them to perform confidently and creatively.

For me, the most rewarding part of teaching is seeing students grow into skilled, confident performers who appreciate and carry forward the rich tradition of Indian classical music. Witnessing their progress motivates me to continually refine my teaching methods and provide the best guidance possible in every session.
