Ninad Jha

I am a professional Hindustani Classical music Dhrupad and khayal performer and Teacher from Darbhanga Dhrupad court music tradition, named for a former state near the Nepalese border. It is said that my ancestor once ended a drought in the area through singing the rain-bringing Raag Megh, and the family still live on land gifted to them by the Maharajah as a result.
I have learnt Dhrupad from my mother Vidushi Neetu Pathak jha who has learnt Dhrupad from Dhrupad maestro Padmashree Pandit Ram Kumar Mallik jee who belongs to Darbhanga Gharana. My maternal grandfather Pakhawaj Maestro Mridangacharya Pandit Ramashish Pathak jee president awardee.
I am a B High grade Artist from All India Radio Akashavani New delhi in Dhrupad art form.at international headquarters of art of living Bangalore. I received Gaandharva vignya samman in Hindustani Classical music international Competition.
Currently I am teaching Dhrupad and Khayal singing to graduation and masters students at State University Punjabi University Patiala Campus.
