Learning a new language from scratch is never easy. It takes a lot of time, energy, determination and dedication to be able to grasp. Many native speakers who speak both languages find it hard to respond to this question. The truth is that there are several complex things about these languages. If you start comparing these two languages, you'll be more confused about which one to choose. Let's say, Spanish, as a language is much more flexible than French when it comes to grammar and syntax, whereas French pronunciation is a lot easier if you compare to Spanish. That's why it won't be wrong to say that choosing a language to learn depend entirely on you, on your personal interest, opportunities after learning, and other appeal factors. However, some people say that Spanish, as a phonetic language, is easier to master. But others debate on the same. Some researchers also believe that Spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn for English speakers. One of the reasons is that English speakers who are learning Spanish have the advantage of using the same alphabet. It is because Spanish morphology and phonology are the only things that are different from English. Basically, learners have higher chances to be exposed to Spanish regularly. read less
