It depends on what you mean by better. Do you mean better as in better career avenues or ease of learning each respective language? - Spanish is definitely easier to learn - With respect to career avenues French is better

There is no comparison as such. Each language has its own significance. Obviously,French would be better for a francophone country.As to what one should learn totally depends on your will and interests. Both require hard work and practice.
