It depends on what you mean by better. Do you mean better as in better career avenues or ease of learning each respective language? - Spanish is definitely easier to learn - With respect to career avenues French is better

There is no comparison as such. Each language has its own significance. Obviously,French would be better for a francophone country.As to what one should learn totally depends on your will and interests. Both require hard work and practice.

better depends upon "why you want to learn it for?" both are beautiful languages choose whichever pleases you more or maybe you can learn both.
