France is one of the most influential first world countries with rich culture and heritage. The country has always strived to stay ahead of other countries, in all the aspects, be it culturally, politically and economically. Moreover, France is known as the most romantic place on earth and French as the language of love. The French are proud of their culture, heritage and language. Coming back to your question, here are some of the efforts made by the government of France to keep French as the world language. 1. Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF): This international organisation represents countries and regions where French is the official language or a customary language. 2. Educational opportunities: France has always taken priority in the educational sector by establishing and maintaining high-quality standards of education for bilingual schools within and outside the country. It is providing scholarships and educational facilities to brilliant young foreign minds to take the opportunity to get access to quality education. 3. Establishing French educational aids to third world countries such as Africa and Haiti, facilitating education and promoting the French language. 4. Tourism: This country always encouraged tourism and opened its doors to tourists who are willing to explore and learn more about France. As people in France speak in French, tourists are expected to communicate in at least basic French. read less
