The very first is, if you speak English well you can speak French well too as both are similar. Though there is a huge list of transparent words in both the languages, the french pronunciations are far different than the English pronunciations. The sentence construction, variety of verbs, usage of articles, basics of phonetics distinguish these two languages. So once you start with learning French you have to give it its time. Your English may help but not a lot. read less
