1. Start with the Right Tools
Needles: Use the correct needle for your fabric (e.g., universal needles for woven fabrics, ballpoint needles for knits).
Thread: Use high-quality thread that matches your fabric type and color.
Scissors: Keep a pair of sharp scissors dedicated to fabric cutting only.
2. Understand Your Sewing Machine
Manual: Read the manual to understand the functions and maintenance of your sewing machine.
Tension Settings: Experiment with tension settings on scrap fabric to achieve perfect stitches.
3. Proper Fabric Preparation
Pre-Wash Fabric: Pre-wash and dry your fabric to prevent shrinkage after the garment is sewn.
Press Fabric: Iron the fabric before cutting to ensure accurate cuts.
4. Accurate Measurements
Measuring Tape: Use a flexible measuring tape for body measurements.
