I have a question in Excel,Using Data validation i am creating a drop down having values "Yes" and "No". But some cases i may have to enter new value other than "Yes" and "no". if i am trying to enter other value in the cell then it is not accepting? what is the solution for this issue?

After inserting your criteria in data validation, you have to reselect all cells in which you have entered drop down list, then select error alert tab in data validation and select warning or information instead of stop. Hi, In data validation dialog box, Error alert tab. Choose style as Warning or Information. Warning- when warning message appears, user can click yes to accept the invalid es entry. Information- when information alert appears, user click OK to accept

when you apply validation, just select Information or Warning option in error alert, if you choose either of these option then you will have an another option to enter the value other then "Yes" or "No"
